Subclass Updates
Barbarian
- Update to Pumping Ritual:
- Updated grammar to make the feature clearer.
- Updated debuff to allow a bonus action only if it targets you.
- The creature can still use reactions.
- Reduced level for the additional effect from 14 to 10.
- Update to Flailing Ritual:
- Removed random additional damage dealt.
Bard
- General updates to lore.
- Power Chords:
- Mur: Updated grammar to make the feature clearer.
- Gar: Removed as it was broken with the Runes of Calling ability.
- Lin: Updated debuff to only blind the target(s). Being blind and deaf is extremely debilitating.
- Tor: Updated grammar to make the feature clearer. Changed the reduction in movement speed from a multiple of 5 feet to 5 feet. Updated the duration to be equal to the bardic inspiration.
- Uru: Added an addendum that prevents it from stacking with multiple uses of the chord. Instead it now overrides the previous temp hp.
- Runes of Calling:
- Added an addendum that states the spell no longer counts towards your concentration spell max.
- Slayer's Rage:
- Updated grammar to make the feature clearer.
- Fixed typos.
Cleric
- General updates to lore.
- Updated wording for when you can use brutality die, it must before damage is dealt.
- The cleric now regains half as many brutality die on a short rest.
- Aura of Brutality (Brutality Die):
- You can no longer give out unlimited number of brutality die. You can only give one at a time, like bardic inspiration die.
- Channel Divinity: Bind through Pain:
- Updated grammar to make the feature clearer.
Druid
- General updates to lore.
- Haunt Area:
- Made the haunt area a static 60 foot radius, which is big enough starting off.
- Reduced time needed to increase the haunt area from a regular action to a bonus action.
- Reduced the amount of feet the haunt area increases after using the feature to increase it from twice the current size, to an increase of 15 feet to the radius.
- Stalking Nightmare:
- Updated to give advantage to any attack you make against a creature that is frightened of you.
- Nightmarish Shape:
- Updated grammar to make the feature clearer.
- Removed damage dealt to creatures that have immunity to the frightened condition as it is confusing and unnecessary.
- Added an addendum to allow the use of this feature outside of combat.
- Changed it from targeting only hostile creatures, to any creature within your haunt area.
- Trial of Terror:
- Changed damage type from necrotic to psychic as it deals with hallucinations.
- Changed it from targeting only hostile creatures, to any frightened creature within the mist.
- Horrific Visions
- Removed the unnecessary damage. Since it made everything confusing.
- Haunt Catcher:
- Reduced the truesight distance to 25 feet from 30
- Health gained is now based on total hit die, and spell slots gained is based on half the hit die max. For example, a gnoll has 5d8 hit points, if a frightened gnoll were to die in your truesight you would regain 5 hit points, and any combination of spell slots that equal to 4: 2 level 2 spells, 1 level 4 spell, 4 level 1 spells, etc.
Fighter
- General updates to lore.
- Bloodlust:
- Bloodlust Save DC is now based on half your bloodlust level rounded up.
- Changed the benefit of level 6 bloodlust to only trigger from melee weapon attacks.
- Changed the benefit of level 10 bloodlust to grant temp hp whenever you damage a creature with a melee weapon attack.
- Mutilating Strike
- Updated grammar to make the feature clearer.
- Death Launch
- Updated grammar to make the feature clearer.
- Final Onslaught
- Updated grammar to make the feature clearer.
Sorcerer
- General updates to lore.
- Sanguine Gift
- Changed the addition to health when gaining more hit die to be a roll instead of just the max value.
- Blood of Creation
- Changed splash health gained to be half the total result rounded up instead of down.
- Changed additional action from upping the splash to the full amount rolled, to allowing the caster to use more hit die.
- Blood of Destruction
- Removed splash damage as it was very confusing.
- Added an addendum that allows the caster to use more hit die when rolling the damage.
Warlock
- General updates to lore.
- Banshee's Wail:
- Updated grammar to make the feature clearer.
- Reducing damage dealt by the throw.
- Granting immunity to creatures who succeed on the saving throw.
- Death Growl:
- Updated grammar to make the feature clearer.
- Increasing damage dealt.
- Granting immunity to creatures who succeed on the saving throw.
